Dual Enrollment
Earn College credit while you are still in high school.
CNM and UNM offer dual enrollment opportunities. You get to go to college for free as long as you are a student at Cesar Chavez Community School. If you are having trouble passing the Accuplacer, you should know that there are programs available for you to practice and that not all classes require specific Accuplacer scores.
Contact Austin Dougherty (our school guidance counselor) or Laurie Ihm for more information.
Work Study for Elective credit
Do you need elective credit? Are you working or volunteering your time? Did you know that if you provide documentation of your hours, you can get credit for work study?
Don't know how to interview or write a resume, or dress for success? You can get help with that too!
Contact your school mentor or Laurie Ihm if you are interested!
Independent Study
Earn credit while doing something that interests you. You can earn Elective credits doing a project of your choice. Talk with your Mentor. Together you will brainstorm options, formulate a plan, and get started on earning elective credit for things you are already doing or want to know about.
